Show DEV: iGen3D – Generative AI Text-to-3D & Image-to-3D Generator for 3D Printing

Hey everyone! 👋 I'm excited to share a project I've been building: iGen3D – an AI-powered 3D model generator tailored specifically for 3D printing makers, hobbyists, and game designers. 💡 The Problem with Generative 3D Models Most generative 3D tools produce point clouds or messy meshes with non-manifold edges and internal floating triangles. While they render fine in three.js viewports, they fail when imported into slicers like Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, or Cura. 🛠️ What iGen3D Does We built iGen3D (https://igen3d.com/) with 3D printability as the primary constraint: Text-to-3D: Describe any object, miniature, or prop, and generate a watertight 3D mesh in under 60 seconds. Image-to-3D: Upload any 2D sketch, photo, or game concept, and reconstruct high-resolution 3D geometry. Slicer-Ready Exports: One-click download in STL, OBJ, and GLB formats. Watertight Manifold Geometry: Optimized for FDM (Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality) and SLA resin printers. 🚀 Tech Stack Frontend: TanStack Start, React 19, TailwindCSS, Three.js Edge: Cloudflare Workers, D1 Database, R2 Object Storage Models: Feed-forward neural implicit geometry reconstruction Check it out live at https://igen3d.com/ – would love to hear feedback, feature suggestions, and test print results from fellow developers and makers!
